NEW HUBLOT BIG BANG UNICO 2014 FIFA World Cup





In Tokyo at the Japanese Football Association House, in presence of The King Pelé, CEO of Hublot Ricardo Guadalupe has unveiled the 2014 FIFA World Cup official watch : The BIG BANG UNICO Bi-Retrograde Chronograph King Gold, developped and designed especially for the World Cup and all the football fans!

It was the first time since Pelé came in 2011 to support Japanese people after the earthquake, which caused a dreadful tsunami for the country. Not only the occasion to welcome Pelé in Japan, Mr. Ricardo Guadalupe, Hublot CEO, also unveiled the Big Bang UNICO Chronograph Bi-Retrograde King Gold : the Official 2014 FIFA World Cup watch.

Pelé, Hublot ambassador for the World Cup, declared: "Today was especially memorable, not only because I am here in Tokyo with Hublot, but because we were able to give back to the children and future of football in Japan. I'm so thrilled to see how Hublot has managed to put together the passion for football and the fervor of Brazil into such an extraordinary piece.  I can't wait for World Cup competition to start!"


For Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot added :  "Hublot is very proud to be the Official Timekeeper of the FIFA World Cup. This is the most important event on the planet, and its official watch is a Hublot Big Bang ! All the fooball fans on all the continents will now recognize this timepiece as the symbol of the World Cup Brazil! "


After the unveiling, the watch in collaboration with the Japanese Football Association, Hublot organized a Charity Kick Target to raise money for the JFA benefiting victims of the earthquake in Japan in 2011. A selected Japanese kids Team had their chance to score goals and raise money. Mr. Guadalupe himself even tried. The story doesn’t tell if scored or not. Finally, Hublot and Pelé succeed to raise 3’000’000 JPY.
