Chevrolet Tru 140S Concept

General Motors has presented the Tru 140S Concept at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show, the second concept oriented to a younger client segment. Chevrolet developed, in fact, the four-seat car having in mind the results coming from a recent research of General Motors, pointing out that there are almost 80 million potential customers approaching the age of thirty, a very large segment, with high income and that is looking for a sporty as well as emotional car.

Based off the same platform as the Chevrolet Cruze, Tru 140S comes equipped with the same 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, though with a bit more power, 150 horsepower. The vehicle has been thought as an “affordable exotic” four-seat sporty coupe, designed to look confident, expensive and fast. The designers wanted to include technologies that are usually available in more expensive cars, such as direct injection and a starter-based stop-start technology, balancing internal combustion and electrification to deliver high value and improved fuel economy.

Moreover, the car shows also other features for targeting young customers, like interior connectivity thanks to the integration of Wi-Fi, smart phone and the Chevrolet’s platform My Link. in -
